International Toilet
Festival
We actively support initiatives that improve public hygiene, empower sanitation workers and create healthier communities through meaningful engagements.
We supported the International Toilet Festival 2022 along with partners like IHE Delft and Dutch Ministry.
Volunteers mapped over 1,460 public toilets across Chennai to improve sanitation access.
We trained 700 sanitation workers and distributed sanitary kits to reinforce hygiene practices.

Meenakshi
As an architect and urban designer at Studio Recycle Bin, Meenakshi focuses on sanitation and hygiene, offering Eventbrite in the Toilet Lab that address urbacity, accessibility, design, economy and management. Their work includes public advocacy, such as the International Toilet Festival, Toilet Mapathon and Toilet Fellowship, with technical support from British Clean.
Ganga
Ganga, founder of Studio Recycle Bin, shares a testimony of her journey, where the collaboration with British Clean helped people have a revolutionary impact where people were reluctant and often neglected to be part of the toilet campaign. She thanks British Clean, which has helped develop protocols for monitoring and maintaining toilets.
Beach Clean Up
Activity
As part of our environmental commitment, we participated in large-scale beach clean-up activities, joining hands with local officials to remove plastic waste and protect our coastline.
As part of environmental stewardship, British Clean participated in a major beach cleanup at Elliott's Beach.
Alongside 3,000 volunteers, we helped remove an estimated 75 tonnes of plastic waste.
Local officials and volunteers joined us in making Chennai cleaner and greener.
